Help make life magical for a child in Sierra Leone this Christmas!

I’m James, the founder of Laughter Africa. Originally a Brit, now living full-time in Sierra Leone... or Salone as the locals call it.

We've been operating for eight and a half years and in that time have helped over 5,000 street children. We're not here to just provide handouts, we support the children to fulfill their aspirations and bring about positive change in their lives.

Our aim is to encourage children to leave the streets behind, but without forcing them; it has to be their choice. We do this with outreach programs where we support the immediate needs of the child. When they decide to return home, we find their family and ensure it is a safe environment for the child. When at home, we continue to to check-in, pay for their education and offer basic essentials, support to start a business, whatever is needed to keep the child at home and off the streets.

So there's not a dull day here is Sierra Leone. As a smaller charity, it can be difficult to raise money, but your very generous gift purchases make all of this possible. Myself, the Laughter Africa team and the children of Sierra Leone thank you very much!
